Age: 33
Profession: I work as a customer representative at NationWide.
I came to work with Paul because my neighbour uses his service and highly recommended it. She is a strong advocate of the thought process behind Paul’s programs; the way he trains clients, and the knowledge and guidance he gives. This was all something I was looking for.
Before being pointed in the direction of ‘PB Strength & Fitness Mentoring’ I was struggling to find the motivation to consistently exercise. In fact I had stopped going to the gym in favour of training at home, which I thought was a better choice for me. With guidance from Paul, my training mentor, I soon realised this was probably holding me back, and signed up to the group training programme.
So far I’ve had a great experience with the group training. I have learnt new things; improved my fitness, and I actually lift weights in a semi-private gym now. Something I never thought I would do.
I was sceptical of a group training environment at first, as I had come from a background of one on one training. However it has turned out to be a lot of fun and very social. We all challenge each other as we go along, and have connected well as a group because we have a common interest and goal, which is lifting and getting stronger. This has made me work harder and the friendly competition between us has certainly accelerated my development.
The accelerated development I’ve had as a result of the group setting, has led to one of my biggest personal fitness achievements and that’s with squatting. I could barely squat when I started and it was a real struggle, but I’ve actually completed a squat for several reps with 81kg, (at a body weight of 76kg), with good form. That is something I didn’t think I could do.
Definitely try out ‘PB Strength & Fitness Mentoring’. I’ve had such a great time, learning things I didn’t know, and I’m doing things I didn’t think I could do. I think the programme and how everything is explained and set out means you’ll know what your doing and lets you set realistic expectations for yourself that you will achieve. So yes, I’d definitely recommend Paul to everybody!
