Whether beginner or experienced, starting at a new gym can be daunting. Add to that we’re a private, barbell-first club—unstaffed outside set coaching times—and you can see why turning up and being left to guess your way around isn’t the experience I want for you. That’s why all new members begin with Starting Strong. It’s a month of expert coaching that gets you fully oriented and set up safely, ready for when you’re on your own.

Private & unstaffed
If you’re here for 24/7 access, you still begin with Starting Strong. Because we’re a private barbell club and unstaffed outside coaching hours, we first make sure you know the space and standards and feel confident training solo. Over four coached sessions you’ll meet the community and get a second pair of eyes on your key lifts—then you’re set.

I’ll guide you through a simple, yet practical introduction to barbell training — focusing on one lift — show you how the equipment works, and help you get a feel for how I coach and how the gym operates.
